GNS3-0.8.4 Installation
and configuration:
GNS3-0.8.4 is the latest released edition of GNS3,
But it is not a stable edition. This version have many improvements and fixed
bugs.In this version user has to add the ports in the slots , every time to use
the router.
In this post i will
show you that how to install and configure this new version on windows 8. First
download this from internet, make sure u download the correct one that is gns3-0.8.4 all
in one. Which include the following software packages
- WinPCAP
- Wireshark
- Dynamips
- Qemo
- Pemu
- VPCS
- SuperPutty
Start the set up wizard by click on setup file wizard will start and install all above packages one by one.
Click next :-
Click I agree :-
Click Next:-
Select SuperPutty and click next :-
Define location & click install:-
WinPCAP Installation :-
Click next ..
Wireshark Installation :-
Click next
It showing that wireshark is installing :-
Click I agree :-
Choose the components to install & click next :-
Define the location & click next :-
It show the compilation of the GNS3
Click next
Click next
Press enter :-
It starts the GNS3 :-
To check whether GNS3 dynamips is working or not
Go Edit -> Preferences -> dynamips -> click test setting
if this images is there , it means dynamips is working well .
